Dr. Marissa Robinson
As a licensed psychologist and Nationally Certified School Psychologist, I have the privilege of serving children, adolescents, and their families through comprehensive psychological assessment and consultation. I received my Ph.D. in School Psychology from the University of South Carolina where I gained extensive training in assessment, consultation, and intervention across school, medical, and clinical settings. During graduate school, I developed a niche for Autism Spectrum Disorder diagnostic evaluations. I completed my predoctoral internship with Greenville County Schools in Greenville, SC, and then completed a Post-Doctoral Fellowship with Greenville Assessment and Learning Specialists, a private practice specializing in comprehensive diagnostic evaluations, also located in Greenville, SC. I continued to work as a Licensed Psychologist with GALS before relocating to Lake Wylie with my family in 2020. After spending a couple years at home with my children, I founded Lakeside Assessment Center in 2023.
My husband and I are so grateful to be raising our three young kids in Lake Wylie! We love the small town life with big city amenities! Being a mom has made me a better, more empathetic psychologist as I strive to foster my own children’s strengths and better support their weaknesses.
I know every child is unique, and learning, behavioral, or emotional challenges can impact the entire family environment. One quote I love to share with parents and strive to display in my own home is “Fair is not always equal.” Individual differences exist and I hope I can help you to recognize those in your own child and empower you to be the best advocate you can be for your child.
